The Artistic Journey

selfie 2_edited.jpg

My artwork is deeply inspired by myths and stories, which serve as the foundation for most of my creations. However, photography is where my journey begins for nearly every piece. Often, while wandering through beautiful landscapes, I find myself imagining how these scenes might appear in a fantastical world, brimming with mythical creatures and vivid, otherworldly colors. Each interplay of color is thoughtfully chosen to evoke the emotions of the piece and reflect the essence of the mythical beings within it. This same sense of color and imaginative exploration also influences my work in interior design, where I bring these vivid ideas to life in spaces that feel both magical and immersive.

Through a design, a story can be told.

My travels and the myths and legends I've encountered have greatly influenced my interior design work. I take pleasure in crafting imaginative and comfortable spaces that tell a story. A key focus of my design process is the thoughtful application of color theory, using hues to shape mood and atmosphere within a space. I also strive to bring a touch of nature indoors, creating environments that feel both inspiring and grounded in the beauty of the natural world.

The beauty of mythology is found in the old tales and traditions that have been passed down through the ages. Who knows, perhaps there is some truth in these tales.

My love of charcoal, soft pastels, ink, and markers was where I first began my artistic adventure. As time passed, I began to experiment with several mediums, including watercolor, oil and acrylic paints, color pencils, chalk, and sculpting. My fascination with color and the technique to utilize color to portray mood began when I was a child, and through the years it kept expanding and I kept practicing the trade. Some of the artwork below was created while I was between the ages of 12 and 17. Many of my earlier works served as the beginning of my path toward fantasy works of art, but I was unaware of this at the time.

Art is a journey

I begin each piece of work with a sketch. I discovered that even though I've been moving toward more digital art, I still need to start with my hands in order to get into my creativity because I've spent so much of my life learning with them. I even spent more than a year doing my own home renovations in order to break through a creative block I was experiencing.

Through a photograph, a story can be told to the entire world.

My trips and destinations, in addition to myths and legends, have influenced my art. I enjoy making imaginative and enchanting worlds using my photography as a starting inspiration. I want to emphasize different hues from varied landscapes to give each piece of art its own unique artistic vibe. The lovely scenes I photographed below served as inspiration for some of my artwork.
